Sometimes flying back from Europe on a 9 hour flight can feel like an eternity. Some travelers don't mind the hours of peace and quiet so they can enjoy several movies or binge watching a favorite tv show. Arguably the airlines serve decent meals and on a long flight you will have several opportunities to test the meals for yourself.

All of those things would have to get very old traveling on some of the longest flights in the world. The 9 hour flight time is several HOURS shorter than the world's longest nonstop flight that will debut in February 2016.

Statista, an online statistics portal, recently made a list of the 10 longest flights and we thought we would share them with you. Sit back, put on your headphones and grab a cheese ravioli meal as you have lots of time to waste!!!

We told you they were long flights. Hope you saved some pennies to upgrade to business class!!! Next time, the 9 hours home from Europe will feel like a regional commuter flight!

No, we didn't have a typo and misspell heaven, we spelled HAVEN, a special luxury area on newer Norwegian Cruise Lines vessels. This private world of luxury at sea is reserved for those special guests who want a little more from their cruise.

Step outside your residence and you'll enter a secluded Courtyard where you can spend your sea days relaxing, dining and enjoying exquisite privacy. You receive priority seating at the award winning shows, you can arrange private VIP shore excursions, the Haven Courtyard has it's own pool and hot tub with service from the Courtyard Valet. It is called The Haven by Norwegian. You'll call it pure paradise.

Recently we had clients reserve a stateroom on the Norwegian Getaway for their honeymoon and they were very excited. As the cruise date grew ever closer, we presented the couple with a great opportunity to upgrade to a Haven Penthouse Suite. After discussing the benefits and looking at all of the amenities, the clients decided to upgrade.

We received an email from the clients before they even boarding the ship complimenting the Haven experience! Upon their return, we receive an email with their review of the ship and the Haven experience and they were so very happy that they upgraded. We were all smiles with the fact that our clients truly enjoyed their memorable honeymoon in a one-of-a-kind experience, The Haven by Norwegian.

Here is a portion of their email with a few remarks on the experience they received with The Haven.

Accomodations - Haven Suite on NCL Getaway Ship - Excellent!
We could probably write a book on the Haven experience. The VIP-style experience started almost as soon as we arrived at the port. Dropped off our luggage, showed cruise registration paperwork and passports, and were immediately shown to the Haven waiting area for check in, where we were offered coffee, tea, hors d'oeuvres, cookies, and other snacks while we waited to be taken aboard the boat. In about 15 minutes, a concierge appeared to take us past all the lines and onto the boat and to the private Haven sundeck area. Once we arrived, we were offered drinks, served sandwiches, and given a rundown of the amenities specific to the Haven area guests.

Our cabin was spectacular, and close to the size of a normal hotel room, which is fabulous for a cruise stateroom. King size bed, full-size shower and tub, balcony, upgraded linens including feather pillows, and a big screen LCD TV were just a few of the upgrades beyond the typical staterooms. Also of note - other rooms require you to place your ID card into a holder to power the room - not the case in the Haven, they have a housekeeping card inserted that keeps the room powered all the time for those rooms.

Our butler delivered yummy treats daily and on days we had shore excursions, he would drop off sandwiches along with treats to tide us over until dinner. Our stateroom attendant always had our room in tip-top shape and we came back to various towel animals every evening.

The private Haven sun deck, bar, and restaurant were fabulous to have. There were many times when we were out and about while the boat was at sea and we were glad to return to the wonderful quiet area. The Haven restaurant was fabulous for breakfast, offering things such as crab cake eggs Benedict, or steak and eggs.. with a full-sized fillet cut. Service was always top-notch.
All in all, a fantastic trip and the Haven was worth every penny for the upgrade.

Welcome home to our two groups that recently enjoyed the Hudson River Valley excursions. Due to it's popularity, we ended up with two trips in back to back weeks. What an absolutely gorgeous and historical part of our country. Our travelers enjoyed a special touch as we used an Elite Executive Motor Coach (and its many amenities) for an easy, luxurious ride throughout the trip.

We have received lots of comments about our Hudson River Valley excursions and we thought we would share some with you.

We are including some menus from some of the restaurants that the groups enjoyed for dinner. We call our group Upscale Excursions and we believe the menus suited our groups very well.

Pat, Just a short note to thank you and Mustafa for the enjoyable trip through the Hudson River Valley. Ron and I enjoyed it very much. All the attractions were extremely interesting and the food was wonderful. Ron was so impressed with Mt. Mohonk House that I went on line to check availability and was somewhat shocked to see a minimum room price of well over $500 a night. Even with meals and amenities included, that was somewhat pricey to say the least. But now we can say we've been there.
